I’m a writer and editor of children’s books and short sf/f, a graduate of Grinnell College and Stonecoast MFA, and one of the staff of the Alpha Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Workshop for Young Writers. I work for Phoenix International Publications in Chicago, where I have a small dog named Grendel who thinks everything in the world is for eating — except balloons, which he fears above all else.

I like funny TV shows, dark fantasy, and fresh raspberries.
